    Fostex MR-8HD with Ibanez Acoustic/Electric

I just bought a new Fostex MR-8HD and laid a couple test tracks with my Ibanez acoustic. This is only the begining of the song and the song is originally by Helloween "A Tale That Wasnt Right". Once I get used to the automation and stuff I will post more stuff.

nice...did you DI the guitar or use a mic? my Takamine sounds better mic'd than the piezo pickup. i use cakewalk on the 'puter and have a little zoom mrs-4 for quick ideas as well as portability. it fits in my guitar case and is ready in a minute. one day i'll own a nice roland 24 track, but for now the aformentioned zoom works well....much better than ping pong recording on two reel to reel machines.

Thanks :-) . I used the pickups in the Ibanez PF pro. It is Fishman equipped and has full tone controls and even a built in tuner. It also hooks up with a mic cable or a 1/4" cord. I havent tested the difference if I miked it though. I would kinda rather not worry about background noise.
