Nile is awesome. I like alot of things... Watchtower, Opeth, Neurosis, Suffocation, Death ect but I'm not generally into the Death Metal genre, only certain bands.
moeburn, Tool IS a group of assholes and they pride themselfs on it. Proves how big a group of assholes they are.

Get Rush Of Deliverance, Unleash Hell, Infidel, and Entwined by Vengeance, all by VITAL REMAINS. The last one I mentioned doesn't pick up until about a minute and a half into the song. This is as fast / brutal as you can get while maintaining melody, in my opinion. Amazing band. I'm pretty sure the singer of Deicide sang on that album.

Deicide is another good band... well, their first album was good. Entombed and Obituary are also good!1 Wow, yeah, lots of good Death Metal.
I'll go to allmusic.com and check out Vital Remains. Thanks dude, I'm always looking for new music to listen to.

My favorite death metal band was called "Injured".
Then they sold all their equipment to a pawn shop.
And they renamed themselves "Acapella".

Then there's google, of course. I found a lot of my metal through metal forums - I won't listen to black metal, man. It's death, groove, or a little stoner for me.

Have you ever been to www.allmusic.com? I mean, it has everything there... want to find some new metal, pop, jazz or anything, you can go there. I read that Vital Remains has insanely fast drumming and solos, I'll be checking these guys out for sure.
