Dissapointed with the Boards

I don't know if maybe it's just me, but the boards and the threads that have been posted have been a bit disappointing lately. No real new ideas, all just regurgitated, which is to be expected after awhile, but it seems no one is putting any effort into coming up with original topics anymore.

A lot of the polls, have been done over, and over, and over, and over again. How old are you? Where are you from? When is your birthday? What are your favorite munchies? And then there are the age old simple drug questions like What is DXM? Should I try mushrooms? Should I try acid? etc. Even then you have your rants, like I hate my parents, I hate the government, I hate life, that don't explain why they are so mad sometimes, or leave a lot of the details out.

I doubt this thread will change anything, but I'm hoping that maybe people will start putting a little more thought into their threads. I mean, pointless threads are inevitable, and some of them are pretty damn funny. But, not everyone has to post duplicates of the same ones.

If I could make suggestions I would just say:
Try and post threads that ask questions.
Story threads in which people post similar stories or situations are good because they get people to think and express themselves.
Threads that ask members to post artwork and recordings (musical) of themselves are good but only if people comment on what is left. Or later, that member may feel less inclined to post their work, because they feel people are ignoring it.
The one word story threads, the word association threads, etc. are good because they don't get boring as often.

Yeah man, the boards change very frequently.. like the attitude of most people and the topic of threads change quite a bit.

I just think of it as us evolving, and we'll always get back to where we were one day

hmmm well lets use this one.....how about this thread now being called the "peeing on ppl story thread" where we can all tell a story about our urea filled extravegencies with others wehter they be sexual or not.....

i once peed off of a roof at a party and didnt know it till i came down but i went into the barbicue pit which had steaks on it.....

Yeah when I first came here they were so active and now it seems sort of lazy, I only check a few times a day for new posts and when I do it's pretty boring.

it is like this on holidays, but here is something you might look into..
sometimes those boring threads branch out into a conversation you can join about something completely different and non boring.
Just like a lot of conversations start with..."hey how's the weather"
they can end with "and then I kicked the nun in the nuts and spread peanut butter all over her habit"

it's kind've why i don't post as much now. i was fired up for the first few hundred, now it's like... eh. it's like... a lot of us are somewhat longtime smokers. so a lot of ideas here are like... okay.
