DrGonzo, love your avatar, can I get a bigger version of it somewere?
As for DXM, my friend used to do drink robitussin. He quit when his parents found some empty bottles in his room...also some kids I know did it, barfed at school and it was all red, and they somehow got in trouble with it. I also agree that its stupid, you never know what other ingredients in it could be doing to your body.
