Christmas is actually based on a roman celebration..Christ wasn't born on the 25th of December..
However..since it has been adopted as the celebration of his birth..it is and should forever more be "Christmas"..
Easter is Easter...Chanuka is Chanuka..etc etc...
Our desire to be PC is absurd..
As far as it being because of "foreigners" I would say this...if it were not for foreigners we wouldn't be celebrating Christmas the way we do today..foreigners brought many of the traditions we have today to North America when they came here to build this continent...
Johnny Hempseed Reviewed by Johnny Hempseed on . FREAKIN PISSED!!!!!!!!! I can't believe that Christmas has become such an issue. The celebration of the birth of Christ, son of God, can't even be mentioned in public because of "political correctness". This is AMERICA!!!!!! Foreigners chose to come to this country, nobody invited them. And yet when they get here they have a problem with OUR National Holidays? The words "Merry Christmas" are not to be displayed in public because someone who does not celebrate Christmas might get offended. Well then, what Rating: 5
