Nice, long, wood pipe

I was watching The Quiet American the other night and the main character was smoking Opium out of a long wooden pipe. It was almost like a flute in in size. I was wondering if anyone knew where I might be able to buy a nice, high quality, wooden pipe to smoke out of. I want it to look classy, and long, and that's about it. I can't seem to find one, anyone have any ideas?

try looking for indian peace pipes online or something.

one can be hand made out of a large piece of bamboo, though the bowl may present difficulty, i reccomend a smaller piece of bamboo inserted diagonally, and sealed with river clay. if done correctly, the heat of use will bake the clay, and dry the bamboo. resulting in a very nice pipe. (pictures soon?)

Thank you all for your help.

It turns out that the only thing I was able to find resembling what I saw in the film is a Japanese kiseru - a traditional Japanese tabacco pipe. Supposedly, they work well with marijuana as well, but my only concern is the size of the bowl, which is quite small. they are wood they are made of certain types of wood...one looks kinda like thuya burl.....burl is wood that is deformed and has natrually high levels of oil in it that give it unusual luster and resilliance to heat .... the reason i know all this is because i make knives and alot of those woods look like stabalized handle wood which is quite interesting....oh and the bowl is so small because the japanese smoke very very potenet tobacco and its like they breath in tiney tokes for a split second its not for pleasure so much as meditation ... i know that because i do some japanese martial arts and keep up on the culture i wish id seen this thread sooner so i could tell you exactly what you were looking for Nausicaa

my bamboo peice has a salt shaker bowl held in with wire
