Persistant Server Overload Problems

Well as you know when you attempt to log onto this site at times it states "Server Busy". So with this in mind I thought around tax time maybe we can donate some cash to help Mr. Bennet obtain a new server. I think it's only fair since he has given us all a place to gather and make freinds. What do you all think?

it seems like the ONLY ones having probs are the turbo posters. i'm here often and have NEVER had any probs getting in, signed in or not.
and as far as any donations...perhaps you might want to save your bucks and use it for mailing costs so the next time someone says he'll take your grow equipment you'll be ready and able to send...just a thought.

I get the message only sometimes, maybe once every 2 weeks. It's annoying but I can handle it fine.

By the way del... no disrespect when I said that. Like I mentioned before I understand your resentment but hey if your broke your broke. four kids and a wife with christmas 2 days away? I don't have a chance in hell. That's why I suggested the money order or cash method. If I could afford shipping you bet your ass I'd mail it to you brother. Happy Holidays to you and your family.

The server hardware is more than plenty, but the underlying database software is not optimized - we are aware of the problem, but some of the fixes have been deferred until the message board software is upgraded.

In regards to money, the biggest ongoing expense is webhosting. In addition, the upgrade of the boards could likely cost some money too.

Just thought i'd say that i get a lot of 'server too busy' messages as well when trying to load a page.
