Anything we do that is not absolutely 100% necessary for survival is a want, not a need. A want is something we do because we enjoy it. ANYTHING, want or need, can be abused, thus becoming a drug, and used as a means to escape or hide from reality. People are addicted to alcohol, nicotine, marijuana (psychologically, not physcially), food, religion, exercise, careers, relationships, sex, leadership, etc. and EVERY HUMAN uses at least one thing as a drug. I would bet my life that there is no human being who does not have at least one want and uses that want to be happy. Its human nature to try and be happy. So I think that marijuana can be used to be happy, and thus escape reality, but as long as its not hurting the user's reality (they don't feel negative effects in school, work, relationships, etc.) then it is okay to have that escape and use it as often as possible.

I smoked weed because i was curious not to free myself from problems. Stop assuming that you can speak for everyone because its rediculous. EVen though i wasnt looking for it i realized a lot of things that were wrong with me. I realized how to be myself and i did gain a deeper understanding of who i actually am.
smoke weed everyday

Personally, I find that when I smoke weed it makes me think about my problems alot more, and this can ruin the high for me, so when I'm not stoned I remember what the problems in my life are that I realized when I was stoned, and try and fix 'em. That way the next time I get stoned, I have nothing to worry about.

It's a part of my life and will be until I die,I enjoy it and I need it..so what? I stopped caring what anyone had to say about it a long time ago...And as far as forgetting when I smoke..heck yes..some things you don't want to remember and I like feeling good. I really hope the younger generation can do a better job than we have about legalization.
