If it doesnt work for you, there a few possibilities I have heard: Your lighter is poo. I have heard a normal Bic works sometimes, but they reccomened a hardcore torch lighter, as a Bic is just borderline on heat level... So, one would assume, if your light was gettin low, or its a cheap ass light, it wont be hot enough... So use a torch lighter, or get a buddy to use a couple bics on it...
You have to take a couple HUGE hits, like, beyond what you can normally take... Because of this, a normal pipe or a doobie will make taking huge hits hard... Use an ice bong, as it cools it down! And you have to hold it for at LEAST 25 seconds... I would REALLY read up on erowid.org before even contemplating using salvia... It sounds like it can be pretty harsh.

bongo u got about a 50/50 chaNce of the salvia makin u feel n e thing , cause of half the ppl that have done it said they got high off of it , the other ppl say they didnt get a thang off it . so good luck with that
