I did a report on Cocaine one time and was rather suprised. The actual Coca leaf is really a healthy item. Has most of the recommended daily requirements and is also non-addictive. When it goes through the chemical process to make Cocaine is where it gets it's addictive nature and loses a lot of it's health benifits.
The leaves of the coca plant are used by Andean Indians to relieve fatigue and pangs of hunger, but also provide some nutritive value. Duke, Aulik & Plowman (1975) found that 100 gm of Bolivian coca leaves satisfied the dietary allowance for calcium, iron, phosphorous, vitamin A, vitamin B and vitamin E.

I find it VERY amuzing that Coca-Cola initially had Coca as one of it's main ingredients. Imagine it, with the amount of soda kids drink these day! LOL The fuckin' doctors would have ALL kids on Ritilin to counter the effects of drinking Coca-Cola!

The usa says that the usa needs to spend 3 billion per year to protect american kids from the horrors of the deadly addictive coca crop. To do this we invade columbia and its neighboring countries, using chemicals that are produced by monsanto to destroy the crop.(and any other crop it lands on)
The usa government says " we will not allow a country to grow a crop that endangers the lives of american citizens"
Meanwhile....back in the good ol us of a....
We grow the deadly addicitve tobacco crop which kills, according to the usa surgeon generals office,
430,000 american died from tobacco last year
54,000 american died from second hand smoke
17,000 babies never made it out of the womb alive bcause mother used tobacco while pregnant
134 died from cocaine intoxication(one hundered and thirty four)
You see folks...the usa doesnt care so much whether or not we are addicited to drugs. They care about who's drugs it is that we are addicted to.
I will tell you this without batting an eye that america grown tobacco kills more columbians, than columbian grown cocaine kills americans.
A person(usually poor) who gives birth/or is pregnant to/with a child in america and is known to use cocaine is arrested and charged with endangering the life of an unborn child.
A person who uses deadly addictive tobacco and gives birth to a baby, be it dead or alive, is sent home with condolences and a tobacco patch and told "better luck next time".
The chemicals used on the poor people of Columbia are banned from use in the usa because they are too dangerous and we dont know the long term effects of them.

There's a rich man in his summer home
saying "just leave well enough alone"

and the politicans throwing stones
so the kids they dance and shake their bones
'cause its all to clear that we are on our own
ashes to ashes we all fall down
