DXM First Time..

hey...i read the FAQ and thought about tryin some DXM for the first time, i looked in our cupboard and sure enough we had some cough syrup with it. The sticky said take 100mg-250mg. I took 75mg, waited 10 minutes for any effect at all, nothing happened so i took 40mg more. waited about 30 minutes, then took 130mg and after all this, i laid down with my eyes closed and my nose tingled, but thats about it. Was it because i spaced the doses out? Thanks alot.

my first dose i was prolly like 120 lbs and did 8 cc's (240mg) but im not suprised u didnt feel anything from what you took, my experience with cough medicine is that it doesnt get you very high unless you take a ton of it or take it with pills that got dxm in them, if u get high on dxm you'll know it whether you like the feeling or not its prty easy to tell ur fucked up

if you take them in pill form...do you just keep swallowing pills......or do you like break them up first or anything like that...

no dont break them up, just pop as many as u can swallow at a time, what you should do is find whatever cough medicine you have and look at the mg dextromethorphan in each pill or if its syrup the mg of dxm per ml. then add it up to whatever kind of dose you want 200-300 low 400-500 med 600+ high for your first time, youll grow a tolerance over time so itll take more in the future

First, I would recommend doing some research on DXM. Go to Erowid or Dextroverse, which both have good information. I have done a fair amount of drugs in my lifetime, and DXM is one that can be very powerful. If you take something that has something other than pure DXM in it, it has the potential to kill you. I'm not trying to scare you off, but giving you the facts. Before you go drinking just any cough syrup, make sure you know all the ingredients.

If after doing research you decide you still want to do it, start with small doses (150-200 mg at most). Even if nothing happens, don't take more. DXM has a way of sneaking up on you, and usually at the minimum it takes several hours for the trip to reach the full potential. Sometimes you won't feel anything at all until 60 to 90 minutes after ingestion. There is no coming back once you've done too much, so it is much better to go slow and be safe versus doing too much too fast and having a really bad or dangerous trip.

yeah dxm can potentially be like smoking opium and pcp because it will induce euphoria and dissassociation at higher plateus and if you don't like hard drugs i wouldnt suggest doing more than low doses cause ive taken dxm to the point of passing out multiple times and its a really addictive feeling, like ive done coke and shit like that and i still prefer high doses of dxm to anything

Last night, I took almost 240mg of it over an hour and half long period and felt almost no effects through out the whole night. Would it be a smart choice to just take a one time dose of 250mg next time i do it? or would that be a bit too much...

I have never done any other drug with the exception of weed/alcohol, So i dont have anything to compare the trip to..Also have either of you tried Morning Glory seeds..i was thinkin about giving those a try..

i dunno why 240 wudn't work because dxm stays in your system for a while so if you take like 500mg 1 night and then 500mg the next night ull have a stronger trip the 2nd time because it adds up. syrup doesnt work that well alone like i said buy some tussin gels and take all of them and ull feel it like 45-90 minutes after
