It seems a bit random to say it.. I have only seen those volcano shaped in my seeds, and I don't belive I am THAT lucky!

Sex is in the RNA of the plant not the DNA so the seed has both male and female traits. The sex is not determined in the shell of the seed.

Consider the fact that the author uses the word "Morphodite" instead of the proper word "Hermaphrodite"...
That should give you some idea as to the author's expertise..
