Considering stoping paxil.
From what i have read paxil can be very hard ,almost impossiable to stop taking after you have been on it for awhile . And im considering trying to stop taking it soon . Of course i will be talking to my doctor , because you have to go little by little , no cold turkey . But the effects of stoping this med can be very hard to deal with . Just wondering If getting high alot during this hard time would be helpfull . What do you guys think ? Anyone else here ever been on paxil ?

Considering stoping paxil.
I came off paxil for a short time and couldnt wait to go back on it. I tried a different med and I was either laughing like an idiot or crying my eyes out, all very inappropriately I might add. It was Wellbutrin I tried. Most of the time Wellbuterin works very well, just not for me. Paxil can be very difficult to be weaned off, it turns your emotions into crazy things that arent easy to keep control over.
If this is the route you are going to be taking, do exactly as your doc tells you, and good luck!

Coming of of Paxil was the worst experience. There is actually an online support group for it. You imagine yourself doing things like stabbing, or punching people or animals or whatever that pisses you off. I had what felt like electric shocks going through my brain. This was Paxil CR I was on though, and I quite cold turkey. Just be warned because when you don't know what is going on you really think you might be insane. It is good to arm yourself with the withdrawl symptoms, because you could get sucked into the "trip" of it. One guy on the support website was an older military man, he started cutting up his face, and then went downstairs for breakfast with his wife like nothing had happend.
Weird shit they feed us at doc's office. Yet MJ is illegal? You wouldn't believe what is legal in our food, and cleaning products. America the free my ass, they are poinoning us, I am suprised organic food is legal

I stopped Paxil cold turkey and it was the most hellish month. Horrible. It was like having the flu and a nervous breakdown all at once. Please, if you decide to stop Paxil, wean off very slowly over a long period of time. That is the most important thing. As you're weaning off, and afterwards, smoking weed should help with any unpleasantness. Good luck!

I took Paxil for 2 years and went off with no withdrawal. Actually I was so depressed while on Paxil that I don't know if I would have noticed symptoms
unless they were very severe and different. Now going off Cymbalta was
another story. Do you think weed would help depression. Tramadol' a mild opiod painkiller did.

all in all, do not take perscription drugs, they will harm you more in the long run than they will help, they are designed to agitate your condition while masking the symptoms.
DO NOT TAKE PHARMACUTICALS!
