its all in the personality man... i know lots of people who are burnouts... but i know more people who smoke bud and raise families, keep good jobs, and live pretty much like every non toker except they get high.

after about a year of smoking i i got kinda obsessed with it to. i could tell when i started to talk about it that my friends were thinking here we go again, but after a while i moved on past that point, maybe he will to.

hes not really new , been in college 6 months now and smoked like 4 months before it started .. think he would be over any newby stuff .. seein as how he smokes 4 + times aday for last 6 months alone

sorry to pop your bubble but your frien IS a new smoker...believe me...not even one year in your life won't change a thing...like everybody said your friend is a problem, not pot, as he is growing like every human and trying to find a purpous to his life, and maybe now he's thinking pot is the solution or whatever...but pot is good in the way that he'll find his own way soon...if he drops out in other drugs, it was meant to be...I understand him as pot can be a real passion, just like wine for some people...so don't think he's an ass because he always talk about pot, let him be...

Sometimes I wonder if I could have a good fun night out without pot. I came to the conclusion that yes I could, but it would never be AS good. I think that's a good place to stand if you stand there for awhile.

your friend needs to hang out with different people, if he hangs out with people that don't smoke bud the need to smoke will be alot less,and he'll feel like more of a douchebag talking about weed all the time because people who don't smoke just don't care

not every one is like that, i mean, one of my friends is like that, but his older brother is like he could careless if he did or didnt smoke pot, i mean, sum one can offer the older guy a bowl and he will just shrug his sholders and say if u wana.

That is very true. I don't hang out with the same people as much as I did last year, and I have cut back quite a bit. Or it could also be because I don't got the fucking cash to do it as much lol.
