GROWING ATOP TREE
thanks for the encouragment. Stealth is an issue, but so is the elements. I wish to keep my jaunts through the woods down to once a month - unless needed. I have a 1000 acre area that burned several years ago. Trees are nearing ten foot tall. I plan to cut the trunk of the tree off at six feet, cut a hole in the bottem of a 5 gl bucket and impale the empty bucket onto the tree trunk, fill it with dirt and a well established seedling. This untried method would seem too good to be true, but I am going to try it this grow season. My only concern is that the natural sap of the tree leaching into the miracle grow soil as the water seeps into the 5 gl bucket suspended above the cut tree trunk six feet above ground. The tree wont die either. It will simply be topped, and at the end of the grow season, I will yank the camoflouged 5 gl bucket from atop the tree and toss it in the dump...
I will let everyone know the results. If the skunk tastes like tree, I'll know the method isn't worth repeat. motha may imotha may i Reviewed by motha may i on . GROWING ATOP TREE I wish to grow outdoors. Insect, animals and water source have been a big issue. Has anyone ever grown in tree tops? This would seem to thwart the deer and rabbit population, and decrease the likelyhood of grubworm attack (as well as a million other ground bugs). Has anyone ever tried to use the tree itself as a water source? (ie. topping the tree trunk above predator or prey and suspending 5 gl bucket w/ planting soil and plant)?) Cut a 3 " trunk, drill a 3" hole in the bottem of a 5 gallon Rating: 5
