It works great if you have stealth problems and stuff.
It's just harder to get to it when you need to and unless it's a the top it will only get filtered sunlight.But my friend did it...it works.

This would seem to thwart the deer and rabbit population, and decrease the likelyhood of grubworm attack (as well as a million other ground bugs). Has anyone ever tried to use the tree itself as a water source? (ie. topping the tree trunk above predator or prey and suspending 5 gl bucket w/ planting soil and plant)?)
