Allergic to Marijuana

That happens to me alot when I smoke bud, but I still smoke it anyways. I used to smoke it alot when I lived in Austin, and my heart would never beat fast after I had smoked. Now, after I smoke a joint, my heart starts beating fast. I get scared, and I almost freek out because of that. I know damn well that if I freek out because of my rappid heart rate, my high would suck. I allways try to listen to music that is relaxing and soothing when I'm high. That works to some extent.

a friend of mine has an allergic reaction when he smokes, hes only smoked about 3-4 times, and he says he gets an alright high, but he breaks out in hives and gets really itchy, and he says its hard for him to breathe, if thats not an allergic reaction then idk what it is

I really believe that you can be allergic to marijuana. I've tried it several times, all of them were horrendous and the worst experiences of my life. I have done other drugs and they ended up like it was supposed to. The only drug that I will never do again is marijuana.

The first times I used it, it was good, with only about 5 minutes of an "allergic reaction". But it got worse and worse. But then one day it lasted for about 5 hours and was way too intense to enjoy it at all. The feeling was as if all of the feeling I had was going down, into a different dimension even, and my heart was beating extremely fast. I was lying on a bed for most of the time, with my arms against my chest. I could feel my heart beating on my arms and that scared me. Sometimes it'd feel like I was stuck feeling the same thing (for example, I felt like I was still lying down but I was definitly standing up.) for 10 seconds and then my feeling would rush back with me, where I was. It shouldn't have been that scary, but for some reason, I was so frightened. I even realized that it wasn't too bad, but I was still scared to death for no reason.

And I'm sure the shit wasn't laced. I've smoked approxamtely 5 times and it's came from different people, and the people I smoked with didn't feel the same thing. And it's been the same feeling each time.

Anyone think that I'm possible allergic to marijuana?

ive been like that heaps of times. freaky but awsome at the same time. dont worry, its normal. (mabey dont smoke so quick, or smoke so much) :smokin:

I think that at the same time you are smoking, you are having a panic attack... U can check out the symptoms, its when ur body produces adrenalin for nothing, and u get really scared for nothing...

It did it to me 3 times, it seems that since i got scared the first time, my body is used to getting scared when i smoke mj, so all the time, i get that same feeling. Sometimes my muscles are so tense, all my body starts shaking...

Anyways, dunno what to do about that..

yeh that makes sense, ive had plenty of experiences like that, mainly when i smoke after a break or get some real nice weed.
youre just getting too stoned thats what mate, maybe youre a lightweight, just smoke less, and worry less.

i find that the enviroment you smoke in your personality determine a lot how much you enjoy mj. my heart used to feel like it was beating a million miles per hour and id think i was gonna die but if you take your pulse your heart isnt going so fast. I just get really stupid when I smoke, like retard stupid but put an instrument in my hands and i just go to town. for some reason all music just makes sense to me when im stoned.

are you by chance on any kind of medication for depression, i know from personall experience that it makes the high alot more intense and almost unbearable when you first start mixing the meds and weed. i also have a few friends on meds for depression and they said the same thing about their first few times with the meds (i started the meds after i was already smoking)

That happens to me sometimes too but ive knoticed its only that first joint or first blunt/bowl after the 2nd one i just feel high and good. the anxiety seems to dissapear. So when that happens try to keep smoking until your relaxed and high.
