Good point Nullific. I have done both coke and heroin but always with the knowledge that, yes, I could get addicted and would get addicted if I wasn't careful. The heroin only took one time before I realized that I liked it a lot. I mean I really really liked it and that was enough to scare the shit out of me and say "never again".

Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating using these drugs if you're careful. I'm just agreeing that no one is immune to addiction. I lost one of my best friends to heroin addiction. He started out with using it once. Then every now and then. Eventually he was using it all the time. His wife left him, he lost his job, and then just dropped out. Nobody even knows if he's alive anymore. The thing about it was that he was one of the strongest willed people I have ever met. He was an ex-Marine, fearless rock climber, and hard core mnt biker. The type of guy you always wanted with you cus you knew if you got into any trouble he'd get you out of it. He couldn't get himself out of his heroin problems though. Sad, I really miss the guy.
