    Is this TRue?

: Flush your plants when changing over from Veg to Flower as well as taking down the lights for 36 hours (keep them dark for 36 hours before switching on the HPS) if you are using MH and HPS seperately. Same applies for multi-spectrum bulbs.

Also is there really a SAnta? :stoned:

    Is this TRue?

i have been growing for years and have never heard of keeping plants in the dark between veg and flower.... i have heard of changing the lights slowly like down by 1hr a night till you hit 12/12 to give them a smooth transition but i never do it and have never had any problems... the one thing i have heard is keeping plants in darkness for 2 days right before harvest to increase thc production but that one is a total myth

alot of people flush between veg and flower BUT your plant needs VEG nutes during the first 2 weeks of flower before you change to flowering nutes, so alot of people (including myself) never flush until we get to the pre harvest flushing stage

and yes there really is a santa

Perhaps prior to stating darkness prior to harvest is myth, you should do a side by side experiment.

Actually many stress right before harvest can be done to increase the THC% of the plant flower section by up to 3.5%....

    Such as:

very cold temperature of around 52 - 56 Degrees for the last week. Not only will this allow your plants to produce more THC and move to the flower only, but it will also allow your weed to turn beautiful shades of purple and dark reds.

(thats why many people who grow indoor exotic blueberry or other strains dont get the color they expect. You can only achieve this, generally, with the temps in the range I gave. You cannot get the true purples and blues and dark hues in normal temp range.)

Waterless stress is another shock treatent you can use to kick up the THC production. FOr the last 10 days prior to harvest, you can feed to the plant just enuff water to keep it alive day to day.

Just enuff so that if you missed a day it would wilter and keel over. YOu will lose about 10 - 15% total dry harvest weight with this method, but the end result will be stronger weed.

TOtal darkness and other stresses are not just myths. They are dangerous to the crop and the harvest, but, done properly, just as described, will indeed force the plant(s) to secrete more THC laden resin to be excreted as the plant attempts to preserve the flower... ALL PLANT FUNCTIONS ARE NOW SPENT ON FLOWER PRESERVATION.

DO not call myth what you havent tried personally yourself.

Growing is an art. Yes, you follow the fundamentals, but the plant is versatile enough to allow you great lattitude in your experimentations.

How you grow is indeed an expression of your artistic talents, if you feel confident enough to experiment.

There are few things better than smoking your own clean weed, that you have raised and cared for while riding the super fine line between success and failure.

It is the ultimate thrill to sit here stoned off my gord because I researched and experimented. Lose the focus on quanitity and focus on quality. In the end, you smoke less and stay higher for longer periods.

And you are the envy of all your smoking friends because somehow, you always have the best shit around.

Cheers as I dissappear into the inner world of stonerism and I will see you again, one day....

    Peace and love,

    and Merry Christmas,

    HARD

I have seen someone put his flowering plants outside in the middle of winter for like 15 minutes at a time to increase thc production. as long as there is buds then they wont die.

It is said the 36hr dark period will jump start flowering by a week. When you turn the lights back on to the new 12/12 cycle your plants will show sex within a day or two. I don't do this personaly but have talked with quite a few growers who do.They swear by it. I think it's kinda risky IMOP. As for flushing nutes between cycles.....No I wouldn't do that at all. Keep her on her veg ferts the first week of flower before switching over to bloom ferts. She won't be in flower right off and the little extra nitrogen will help her out until you switch the ferts to bloom.

^-----I do this with all my plants from seed. It causes males to quickly show so you can kill the bastards quicker.

I don't flush veg nutes prior to flower. I do like to keep them on high N the first week of flower. They seem to need it. In my experience it keeps large fan leaves from dropping.
