When you travel to Maui, and you are an american citizen, you dont go through customs like you would if you were from another country, or coming from another country.
I have been to Maui and the Big Island and i will tell you that the airport landscape is scatterd with lil bags of buds. Some real(due to paranoia and last minute changes in plans), and some fake buds(which really look real. Check carefully before purchase)
My advice?
Dont be greedy. A few grams taped under your balls(does not apply to females. Females can put a grams or two under each bra cup) will more than likely go undetected. Dont smell like pot when going to airport. Dont wear pro-cannabis clothing. Dont talk to strangers about your contraband, no matter how kewl they seem. In a police state like america there is always a chance of getting busted. You can do things to minimize this by having your shit together. If you are trying to bring back more than .5 ounce, the bigger the risk for a common traveler. 14 grams is easier to conceal than 28. Do NOT have pot breath in the airport. I would suggest that if you do that you dont try to hide it with large amounts of breath mints. Breath mints and reds eyes unfortunately draw attention to you in the land of the fee...i mean free.

Man - I am in costa rica so i am going to get a lot of great weed. Going to the beach for some hot women and beer and all that weed. Sometimes i would go on bus with some buddies and just party 24/7 without even getting a place to stay. if anything we would go chill on the best westerns beach chairs that recline you know. blunts blunts blunts .

dont try to take weed through the airport man. mail it in whatever you feel safe with. i would put the baggy inside a can of pringles at the bottom and put the pringles on top. try to seal the seal again. you know - improvise with what you got.

Got a few parties to attend this month! Its my last christmas with my mum & her fiance before they emigrate and for hogmany (new year) I'm going to the Hed Kandi meets Colours dance festival in Edinburgh (cant wait!!) then off to Paris for my 21st in January
