    ? on a book

I ordered this book from barnes and noble cause I figure a book is the best way to start learning about growing. I was wondering if anybody knew if it was good before I went and picked it up and spent the money on it. Thanks.

I just got this book in today and I have to say anybody that has any questions on growing get this book for sure. I have been searching like mad on the internet for the last week trying to learn as much as possible on growing with little in return, but this book has 10 x more info. It is awesome with tons of pics.

What are some good recommendations? I have just about finished that one and I am very glad I got it. I know 10 x more then when I started, but I would still like to learn more cause I will start my grow in a month or less.

My favorite books are Marijuana Horticulture by Jorge Cervantes and ED Rosenthals Marijuana Grow Tips. The first one mentioned is packed full of infomation and tips. The second one is pretty basic, but its great for beginners.

Actually the more I read Marijuana Horticulture by Jorge Cervantes and compared it to The Cannabis Grow Bible by Greg Green, the more crappy Marijuana Horticulture starts to seem. Does Jorge Cervantes really have a clue what he is talking about? I mean he says you can not grow with anything but HID lights and says that clones lose genetic material every time you take a cutting from them which is false. To be honest I spent money just on Cervantes name but then I guess he is just a High Times icon and that is about it. If someone was to ask which book was better Marijuana Horticulture or The Cannabis Grow Better I would say The Cannabis Grow Bible in heartbeat, no problem. I mean when you just compare the two books Marijuana Horticulture is just plain wrong, looks unedited, frequent contradicting advise and is not half as detailed even though it claims to be the same size on the net. Marijuana Horticulture is like probably 50% less information than The Cannabis Grow Bible with the other 50% some good and some wrong information. Why do people use that book now is beyond me.
Do not use Marijuana Indoor Horticulture by Jorge Cervantes. It is wrong. Use The Cannabis Grow Bible by Greg Green instead. This will help stop the newbie confusion and prevent them from asking bad questions at the start. Get a SOLID FOUNDATION before you start!... it is 1/2 the battle.
