    Bending plants

    High,
I have some plants growing under shitty lights right now until I order new ones. With the lights I have, the plants were stretching, so I bent the plants from the top; (about 10-14'') down to the top of the dirt and secured it down with a wire. The stems are kinda shaped like a corkscrew now, but the plants are still healthy and growing. Has anyone else done this? If I were to transplant outdoors would the stems straighten out or would it continue to grow as is. Thanks for any info.

depends on how long you keep it bent. if it's jsut a little while it will straighten if it has time to relay do some gorwing it will stay pertty bent.

it will grow stright up from where it is bent

I tie my plants down and have to tie the ends doen every 3 days or so otherwise the tip of the plant will start growing stright up and i'll have to bend it quite abit risking snaping the stalk...

no need to tie down at all. just pinch and squeeze the stem and bend it. just dont break it. the stem only gets stronger in that spot and it doesnt seem to harm them at all.

I have even gone as far as to get a second pot of soil and plant the top again You will get like 6 to 10 top thes way with to root sets. Very difficutt to move but in the end I had 2 lbs from one indoors. The plant is easily manipulated and fun to experiment with. Jonny Ringo420
