Need a supply list...
Hello all,
I am contemplating starting a small 1 plant grow in my closet... I have read Rosenthalls book but would like some practle advice.
Couple of questions:
a. Does anyone have a beginning supply list including some sort of caseing?
b. What is the smallest size enclosure that can be used?
c. The best high grade strain?
d. Can a complete 'kit' be purcheased?

bmore if ur seriously contemplating growing one plant and using a hps my best advice would be to stop what your doing start reading as much as u can and abandone any attempts to continue untill u pace yourself and get in the know...try reposting ur ideas once uve gathered enough information to begin...in otherwords do your own homework!
If you cant grow it..dont smoke it!

Far enough... I have done a multiplant grow in a large room some years ago... but I can't find any literature on single plant small space grow...
Not trying to be lazy.. i kind of thought this was a way to "do my homework"
If my questions are not appropriate, than my apologies...

I've read Ed's book many times. Still do. Even though I had the indoor/greenhouse edition, I found it helpful in my outdoor endeavors as well. Your grow sounds like the novel grow section, no? It's a great resource. This site, and others, i.e. http://www.overgrow.com http://www.icmag.com are also good sites to research too. Here's a short list:
Good seeds - quality genetics are key, in this case maybe feminsed, if you do not have a dedicated veg and flower chamber to determine sex.
250W HPS ballast
2 bulbs for the ballast. MH conversion for veg, HPS for flower.
Good soil mix - I make my own compost and mix it with Fox Farm's Light Warrior (plenty of perlite already in it!) with active mycor to help break down the nutes in the soil need for good plant growth.
Quality nutes - I prefer organic guanos high in N for veg, and others high in P for flower. I also prefer to add SuperThrive with my water to help things along.
Mylar - Cover everything in the closet. Mylar will reflect back 98% of the light that hits it. This will help that little 250W power the plant up more.
3 gallon pot.
RO water - and a lot of it!
Fan.
Ozone Generator.
Power strip.
Timers - controling lighting and the amount of ozone will be a must! You need to regulate light during veg and flower, 18/6 for veg, 12/12 for flower. Calculate volume of the closet and run the ozone generator at a minimum to kill odor and mold only, as too much ozone can harm a healthy plant.
Paper towels - You'll need em to germ your seeds.
Last, but not least, patience and a lot of love. This is a start. I am sure others will chime in with more, but this will get you going, and honestly be the barest minimum you need to start. Good luck!

its all based on your own preference
any old bagseed WILL produce kind bud if grown properly... all genetics are differnt, some better than others, but always remember that any seed will produce good bud
for just one plant you could get away with as low power of hps as you wanted ...150w or even a 70w... or you could run fluoros.. it depends on what your wantin to build ... if you want it to be as small as possible then fluoros are the way to go, but you will get more bud with an hps, still great quality bud has been grown under fluoros.. you gotta research it yourself and make a choice based on whats best for you.. screw everyone else
you can also use a more powerful air mover and a homebuilt active carbon filter to control odor if you dont want to risk o3 damage

Anyone tried an inline fan, a scrubber and vented it into a chamber to be picked up by the ozone gen, or even directly into an O3 gen??? Just curious.
