You can absorb more of the active ingredients if you keep it in your mouth and let it be absorbed through your cheeks and tongue instead of or in addition to swallowing it.

Ya, it tastes bad. When I smoke it, then exhale, I get this nasty taste in my mouth, but then after 2 more hits, I'm so out out of it and laughing, that I just don't care.
