Yeah, I watched the rest of Man on Fire last night, I hate endings like that, he could have run away, risk getting shot, I mean (I think I remember this, but I smoked up again before watching it haha) he just let the kinappers take him, for the release of the girl. Personally when the girl started running to her Mom, I'd have told them to start driving off (in case the people shot at them) and just tried to run to the car, him getting shot wouldn't be too bad, as he all ready took a round to the chest (IIRC) and didn't do anything about it.

Sad ending, but he had a smile on his face as he closed his eyes, knowing the girl was ok

It was a sad ending, but if you remeber earlier in the movie, he tried shooting himself in the head, but the bullet didn't discharge. So at the end, I think he wanted to die, and if he ran, yes, he would have been shot, but the mother and daughter could have been in risk getting shot as well, or being found again.

He did the right thing in the movie just going with them. He knew he was dying, so I figured, hell, he'll die anyways, then there won't be any exchange for life for life, just the girls life back, and Denzels life was gone before the kidnappers could take it, probably very painfully take it.

Anyways, good movie  I loved it.
