When will people learn there's no god?

I understand everyone is entitled to their own belief. I just don't understand how people can go around publicly admitting to their own stupidity.

"Hey Matt, did Santa stop by lastnight?"

That person would be considered a looney tune if he/she was serious.

So why then when we know that there is no such thing as god, and that scientifically it's not possible. (Yeah, god made everyone and everything including the animals, dirt and trees. It has nothing to do with planet formation, and/or evolution - Well what made god?)

I was just reading a story about a pregnant skydiver and was pissed off. Not only was the dumb woman stupid enough to land face first without her parachute working (ROFLMAO!!) but after finding out that she was pregnant, her response was:

"Just this last week we went and saw the doctor and we've got arms, we've got legs. We've got a full face. The baby is moving around just fine. The heart rate looks good. So not only did God save me but he spared this baby."

My family made me get my 1st communion and confirmation when I was a kid. I think it's bullshit because I wasn't old enough to make these decisions. Why does it anger me that people waste their own time? Because I always have to hear about it. We need more people talking about how god is fake, maybe then people won't push their religious garbage on people like me if they knew how stupid they sound.

My cousin about a month ago was telling me that there is a god of some sort because when she decided to come down with her mom to visit my grandfather (because he has cancer and isn't doing good) something made her come. Something told her to come. Ok, so if it wasn't the fact that we found out 2 weeks ago that he has cancer and isn't doing good, then what was it? Well, it couldn't have been the obvious, lets go with God.

Sometimes stupid people (its ok if you think I'm stupid, I don't care ) get on my nerves because I can't understand how stupid they are, and why they are so accepting of a fictional character made up long long ago. You'd think with SCIENCE people would say, "Oh so that's why."

Anyone disagree with me here on this one? Are ya gonna tell me that god is special and great and if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be here? How about if it wasn't for my mother and father having sex, and of course their mothers and fathers, etc. Oh wait, god is my real maker... Fucking morons.

I believe do what you want. Of course there are exceptions if it effects someone else in a way they dont like then it shouldnt be allowed. Thats pretty much it.

Just live by your rules unless it hurts other.

God says to go to heaven you must have faith in him.....faith is simply believing in somthing that has no proof.....so I guess he is not planning to show himself otherwise there would be proof that he exists.

I dont believe in the christian sense of God but I think people should be entitled to their own opinions...if it makes them happy or they feel they have a connection with God then they should be allowed to do it aslong as it isnt harming others as Who's Carl said...

Yeah you are right, but I feel like so many people are needlessly wasting their time, and yes I know it's their decision, but I feel like people should realize that you should do good for people, not steal or kill, etc. But not because you're going to go to heaven or hell, but because those things aren't nice things to do.

I don't like seeing people like my grandmother who is in her early 70s and goes to church atleast 3 times per week. There's ice all over the driveway, etc. and she'll risk falling on it and braking a hip just because her mind is so made up that that's what 'god' wants. If I say anything to try and make her realize that maybe god isn't real and was made up a long time ago then she gets mad and changes the subject.

I ask my grandmother if it's fair that priests can't have sex (with women :thumbsup: ) and she just ignores the question or says something like, they don't have to be priests if they don't want to. There are some other things that she doesn't necessarily agree with, but because it's her religion she'll go out of her way. When I ask if she's researched other religions to ensure she's found the right now, her response is, "No I haven't because mine is the right one." Wow, that response shows intelligence.

I love my grandmother and I don't discuss this almost ever because I don't want her to think I'm evil or anything, but how could you not find fault in people getting their children into religion before they're old enough to make their own decisions, and then sticking to that religion without even researching other religions first just because your mommy and daddy 70 years ago told you that you were catholic?

HAHAHA yeah I know that's silly. But you're right, I was just venting because of the article where god not only saved her, but her baby. I think of it in more technical terms like, wow, your crappy shoot opened but didn't work, and when the backup deployed it was too late for you to stop, but atleast you slowed way down. It's amazing that your baby is ok, but then again if you didn't know you were pregnant it was probably an egg.

Everyone should be entitled to their beliefs without criticism from me, but I wish people would do more for themselves when in need besides pray. My grandfather just found out that he has cancer, what does my grandmother do you ask? Spend more time with him? NOPE - She prays more for him.

Her 100 year old mother who she takes care of, why is she still here? Not because of her diet, or the fact that she never worked a day in her life, or the fact that she's been babied since my grandmother can remember. None of that, it's because god hasn't taken her yet. He must have plans of some sort. I feel like I'm living in a fictional book sometimes heh.

But yes you're right, I'm doing exactly what they're doing by pushing my beliefs, but I can back up the fact that there's no god, no one can back up that there is. Ok, no matter what I say I'm going to be wrong here lol, but atleast I vented.

read or watch "stigmata". i believe that faith is the real God.....a collection of thoughts, spirits and lifeforce that has always been and forever will be. a human being is an electrical device. all the motor neurons, synaptic junctions and thought impulses are electrical current. electrical current, or EMF (electromotive force) is movement of electrons. electrons are matter composed of subparticles that i won't even attempt to explain. when a human dies there is no electrical activity left. where does the matter (electrons) go? according to the first law of physics, matter can neither be created nor destroyed. do the free electrons leave the body and join with other atomic particles? i look forward to the day when my questions will be answered. i personally don't believe in churches. Think for yourself please. Im an atheist too, but you're a joke.

Stop being an atheist child and be an atheist adult if those are your real beliefs and not just the beliefs imposed on you by pseudo-rebellion.

Argue the real argument, love your fellow man if that's really all you believe is there, and don't call people stupid for following the laws of physics.

And don't use science as an argument against religion. It's modernized religion made complicated so that all the same beliefs could be accepted by people with fakely complicated brains.
