This is what my plants look like.....
Hey all....I just posted a thread about lighting, but it seems to have gone down the drain.....haha. The first picture is what my plants look like right now. (except mine have more leaves on them) At around 5 or 6 weeks old....... I just planted some seeds off of an ounce i bought that was pretty good.
The second picture is what i was hoping it to look like? You know? A little more leaves on it and a little less stretch? But maybe it's all depending on the strain. I dunno....someone help!
Do you guys think that my plants are ok? Let me know so i can take care of my babies.
(NOTE: THESE PICTURES ARE NOT MINE AND THEY ARE BEING USED FOR EXPLAINATORY PURPOSES ONLY. I FOUND THEM IN THE USER GALLERIES.)

Its OK... not great but ok. You shouldnt worry, but what kind of light are you using? Also how much are you expecting to get out of this grow?

They look slightly stretched but that can be stopped by putting your lights slightly closer to the plants but just not close enough to burn them. If your using fluros 2 inches is the distance to use.

Hello SJ
I'll post on this thread if that's ok
They do need to get more growth about them before inducing. Not to worry though there's plenty of advice on here, most of the advice will differ but it's just up to you to work out which is best for you and find which way of growing suits you best
Like TC says getting the light in closely but without burning them will help stop any streching. I would just try that for now and see what happens
As for feeding them I really don't know anything about that, I just give mine a bit of plant food now and again but there's lots of imformation on here about all the different nutrients.
I'll just add a pic of my present lot of how they looked at just under six weeks so you can see the difference. They are Skunk#1 and were grown under a 400 watt MH on a 18/6 cycle, with my own compost and just a pinch of plant food in their water.
Don't worry about inducing yet SJ, lets see if we can't get a little more growth on them first

oh......And i have another question. I'm using 225 watt Philips Agro Plant Grow Lights how far away should they be from the tops of the plants? This is important to know i think.
The 225 watts are covering only 2 plants.....in a 2x2 or 2x3 at the most space. Let me know what you guys think......Open to anyone
