Free lights!!!
Ok, now that I have your attention . . . I have an opportunity to pick up some MH ballasts and base/socket assemlies from our old warehouse at work. They still work fine, just updated to high output flouro in that part of the building. The ballasts are all 400W Metal Halide, with a 220V hookup. Can these easily be converted to 120, and will a several year old ballast be worth it? The key motivator here is that they are free. Questions comments and snyde remarks welcome.

Are there any tap wires, like 4 first 120V 208V 240v 440v
there 5 colors yellow is common. if not just hook them up

I'll check on them today, and see how many I can get. I may be able to get HPS lamps too. How do I know they are 220V, I just kinda guessed and looked at the plug on my washing machine to compare. So far the info is they are being junked, so that usually means free, but there may be a small cost to me for them. Which won't be much.

they should be multi tap, if you are getting them from work, then commercial brand, and yes you can change it over. each power wire is labled 120 all the way to 277 I think...anyway goodluck, If you get too many, I'd like one too...lol
