mold or rot appearing on nearly ripe buds
the picture is of some buds i am near to cutting. Mold or rot keeps appearing on some buds which can be seen in the picture. does anyone know why this is appearing. Is my small square metre 2 metre tall 230 watt set up too damp? It sweats a lot when lights are out. I have to cut out the bad buds or they spread to the others. In the picture the bud on the left, and the one at the bottom of the picture are healthy, its the other 2 which have traces of mold or rot you can see.
Also, does the bottom bud look ripe to cut? I dont know when to cut!
Would appreciate a quick reply and help here, buds may be over ripe!magnusalex Reviewed by magnusalex on . mold or rot appearing on nearly ripe buds the picture is of some buds i am near to cutting. during flowering, from what i've read...you have to keep the humidity down, below 40%

Hiya,
It's hard to tell from the photo but it looks like you have seed production in the upper bud area pulling plant strength from the lower areas of the bud and plant. This and high humidity might be incouraging some type of powdery mildew.
Don't water until the top of the "soil" is dry to the touch and increase ventillation, if possible. If you can check the plants at least twice a day, don't water until the plants begin to wilt a bit. It's also probably time to decrease tempature to around 70 f. and daylight slowly by about 15% per week to 7 hours per day.
You can also spay the plants with a mixture of 1 tbs. of baking soda and 3 tbs. seaweed extract in 2 gallons distilled water but it might be too late for this batch.
Your crop will get you buzzed, excellent cell count, but the delta factor is probably still a bit low.
Good luck,
the Sage

Well to save the crop you can use a sulfur burner to kill the mold and it will not harm the flower. The setup cost about 150-200 bucks just so you know.
Yes everyone is right your humidity was to high and mold set it. As well I would bet there is bud rott as well and that will affect the out come.
