I don't think other people, like Xnoa, saying you "despise" them for how they dress and look? How judgmental and superficial you are. How can you say you despise a certain group of people without knowing them? That's a form of racism. That is no different than someone hating a black person because their black.

its far far away from racism if you ask me, goths in england i can safely stereotype as a bunch of misfit freaks, dont give me shit about religion, christians? whatever, theyre a bunch of kids(or adults that still need to grow up mentally) that dress differently in order to be different because they think theyre special.

i am one that never fit in to one group, i was always bouncing around. cool with all types of people. i just wish people would be themselves. they think that to like a certain thing, you have to commit to that certain lifestyle. thats why i am known as the enigma, you dont know what i like and you have a hard time placin me in a typical stereotype.

Goth in its simplest form, is a subculture. A group of people who feel comfortable within each others company. There is no specific thing that defines what you need to do or be to fit into the goth scene (except of course the implied black clothing). People in the goth scene all have different musical tastes, follow different religions, have different occupations, hobbies, and fashion sense.

But.... there are people like that who don't call themselves Goths. So what's your point? You could get a bunch of really nice people who happen to be insurance salesmen and say "insurance salesmen are the best", but that wouldn't be true. I don't know if that's a good analargy or not, I can't think straight.

Fuck off mate, I'm a me. I look gothic some of the time and I listen to gothic music some of the time, but I like other stuff as well.

It really bugs me when people say that all goths worship the devil / are gay / are X (where X = something equally as stupid as the other two examples).

When you're dealing with a group of people, none of them are gonna be exactly the same.

And it's really bloody annoying when people see all these fucking Marilyn Manson worshipping kids who are just out to rebel against their parents, cause daddy wouldn't buy them the pony they wanted, and then people reckon those kids are goths.

Check out Whitby Gothic Weekend for pretty goths. For people who've actually got more than two brain cells to rub together. Or for people who dress in black because they think those clothes are pretty and not to rebel against society or any such nonsense.

And for abso - fucking - lutely gorgeous goth bois. *drool*

So yeah, I like goths, and although I used to call myself one, now I just say I'm a Pixi, but goths are still nice people.

Come on, why pick on one group of people just because they dress in black when if you have a conversation with them most of them are decent people.
