Storing Weed

What is the best way to store weed?
I have mine in the ziplock bag it came in - buds intact. Then I put the bag in a glass jar and stored it in my garage where it's cold. I cannot store in the freezer due to prying eyes (i.e. Mom when she visits - or daughter ).
I assume it is best to store it with buds intact - since it would have a tendency to dry out more if you grind it all first.

If you have a vac sealer then you can try a ziplock bag with some puff in it so buds dont smash but as little as possible and then put it in a vac bag and vac it.
The zip holds most of the time. This will be the freshest method you can find for storing intact uncompressed buds without the freezer.
The cold always helps.

Glass Mason jars work great, store them in a cool dark place.
