Window Light

I don't got any of the powerful lights many of you use to grow you plants so i was wondering if using window light can be a relialble source of light during the winter to grow my plant. I'm not looking for a super plant or anything i'm just wanting a average or below average plant quality that i can harvest and use for personal use. All i want is the plant to be able to survive and grow till harvest using window light. Is this at all possible? Getting big powerful lights is out of the question because i'm still living with my parents and I have to keep this hidden so i was thinking about putting it by a big window in my basement.

if it is a big window with a lot of direct light you could get a "below average plant". but sadly it is too late in the year. your plant would nt be getting enough hours of light every day, wait untill early spring. or if you can, in the spring do an outside grow, then you could get a beast. for one plant you dont need "powerful lights". If you have a space in the basement you could get a few cfls. Many people on this site hide grows from there parents, hopefully they could give you some tips.
I spose you could grow a plant now by your window but youd get a joint or two off it.

You wouldnt even get a below average plant..! You could just the same go outside, and take a handfull of grass..!

One of my friends has tried it, and then I got it and put it under 400 W HPS, it didn't even give me a buzz!

So if I were you, I would buy around 5 CFL's, as high W as you can get, then put the plant under it..!

well if you have a window like that then give it a go, but that window gets light from all round (hey man thats a nice grow spot ya got there). anyway, a basement window would not be that good as it is shadowed by the whole house. By the way cfl's are compact fluorescent lights if you didnt already know. They are quite cheap.

Oh yeah.. You live in australia! The sun is strong there!

But it doesn't get all the light it needs, a person won't get a tan sunbading through a window..!

Did that plant have any potency??
