deathbyvalley Whats LA like? I thought about going to the Musicians Institute out there. Its a tough battle between MI and Berklee(the music college in Boston) but hey, I've still got a few years to decide.

Nah, it isn't too bad. You break it down, its nothing but math. Applying theory when improvising can get a little rough sometimes, you know like using your dimished scales to lead your 1M7 chord into a 5M7 chord or taking your harmonic minor scale down a half step to resolve a 5M7 chord into a 1M7 chord, stuff like that.

lol nah. I kinda went above and beyond what most poeple want to learn with music, but music is kinda my life. Wake up, bong hit, practice, go to class, bong hit, practice, class, practice, then after all classes are done, many bong hits and at least 5 or 6 hours of practice. Some may find that kinda riduclous, but I find it better than writing midterms lol

Thats what I say. I was going to go to Berklee College of Music for my undergrad degree, but my mom "doesn't trust me enough to go to college out of state" and the fact she is a UVa alumni played a big part in her decision, so I'm proudly one of 23 music majors at Uva lol
