You are correct about a bubbler using water. I believe that a hammer is a large pipe that is in the shape of a hammer. a sherlock is a pipe in the shape of a sherlock pipe ...umm if that explains anything. And a i believe a Headie is a really large piece of artwork. I hope the pictures help you, however i own none of these.

The bubbler pulls the smoke down through the water(This acts as sort of a filter and cooling device) Then up out of the water through the pipe and into your lungs
