It's origanal use was meant to be a anti-depressant but after hitting the market did not do so well for that purpose. However people with persistant pain said it took their discomfort away. So now it is considered a Quasi-Narcotic. It's not really narctic but it feels like one when used in excess of 20mg. The standard pill is 10mg. I will warn you that this drug makes you very tired.
