    am i overwatering?

i give my plants water daily and when i do the soil is always dry .
the tips of the lower leaves have become brown and shriveled and the restof the leave has become yellow at the sides . But it always the same leaves.
i mean its the same leave that show both symptoms. there arent leaves with only one of those symptoms they will always have both.
so is this overwatering ? or underwatering or a lack of ferts or to much ferts but i dont think its a fert problem though.
IS there a rule thats says if the yellowing starts on the lower leaves it top much water and if it starts on top its not enough ferts?
plz help my plant is diong nicely and i dont wanna f@ck it up now.
i have ordered a book though but it will only ariive in like 3 weeks time.

I dont KNOW for certain, I was under the impression yellowing leaves was over ferting.

leaves going like a purpley colour is a mismatch of ferts and not enough of one.

SOoooooooo... I dunno, but to reply, If you are ferting them everytime your watering them, then they have fert burn.

that doesn't sound like overwatering to me. stop ferting now and see if it gets any better. also, what's the heat and humidity of your growroom?

what light is your plant under? dont water plant every day,its ok for the top 2-3 inches of soil to be dry..
water every 2-4 days. a cannabis plant will endure a drought better than a flood...go to overgrow.com faq for info..

I have the very same problem, but this is my first ever attempt, so I put it all down as a learning curve.

The first leaves (germination leaves) went so yellow and dry they have fallen off, the second set of leaves are yellow at the tips and appears this set of leaves will also die off, the rest are all fine and a nice shad of green, I was watering them every day but have stopped watering them, and now only water every 3-4 days to see how that does, also I had used Fertiliser in the form of baby bio 3 days in a row about a week ago, but in very low amounts, so have stopped that as well to see how it goes. As I say this batch is all a learning curve for me, and finding it a great joy constantly reading and finding out new things, even though the above sounds pretty bad most of them are now 1 & 1/2 foot tall, and already smell strong of loveliness

My biggest concern is I am using a 400w MH in an old converted all metal 6ft by 3 by 3 tool shed within a wooden shed, enough room for 5 pots, but the heat this light chucks out worries the hell out of me while im at work, in case it burns my shed down then my house which is right next to it...
