I don't know about the rest of the country, but here in California there's a huge Hispanic population, and I can find dried and canned chipotles in just about any grocery store. I've gotten some chilis from them that I couldn't even find here in Cali. Shipping is what's going to cost you the most. I do a lot of international shipping and know it gets really expensive. The cost of shipping 2 lbs, however, isn't that much more than shipping 5 oz so you're best bet is to order a bunch at a time to bring the shipping cost down.
