The tennants are in jail, with their associates being sought. Once it is all said and done they will be persued for the cost of it all but the landlord will likely not see it.
You cant get cash from an inmate, or someone without a job. It will be a long road for him to recoup his costs.
The insurance company is footing some of the bill apparently, but the rest is out of the landlords pocket. This forces him to spend the money that had been set aside for replacing playground equipment that was outdated, as well as funds for other improvements to the community.
So, no play structures for the kids next summer unless neighbours fundraise.
