I was friends with a girl for 11 years, since we were 14, when we were 15 (this year) I told her how I have feelings for her, and she pretty much said that she was sorry to hear that and hoped we could stay friends.

I thought it was me although she said it wasn't, but then I realized that all of her boyfriends were lower on a 1 - 10 scale than I would be, so I don't think it's really me. She basically said the brother/sister thing, that was enough. lol. I've had other similar experiences though.

To answer your question, you have to do what feels right. If you think you have no chance, maybe you don't, and maybe you won't. But if you think you do, maybe you do and maybe you will. I'm not saying it's in your head, but I'm saying you can tell better than we can. Sometimes people can be surprised. Maybe she wants a guy like you and not like the ones surrounding her. Don't pretend to be like all of them.

Let her know that you're interested but not obsessive or desperate.
