Of course... what was I thinking? The carcinogens produced from burning matter are healthful for the lungs. Ever since vaporizing, mine have gotten weaker from lack of smoke. I must have been misinformed. Thank you, Daima. It's people like you who give pot smokers a good name.

i've been smokin every day for 3 yrs and i had a lot more stamina than non smokers in b-ball before i got kicked out for smoking it (and drinking vodka with some teammates in a hotel room)

Buts its also unhealthy to binge 10 beers and 2 shots of Tequilla also. And pretty much everyone in the world does that recreationally. So what the fuck is your arguement, we should all vaporize? Fuck that...I dont like the high vaporizers give me and so do alot of other people...the only time I use them is when Im sick.
Otherwise bong rips are the way to go...yeah I get some smoke in my lungs and I LOVE IT. I get to taste the full flavor of my herbs. MODERATION is KEY to anything....trust me..I just started learning this....and I agree with it.:rasta: :stoned:

The point is truth and awareness. Propoganda is propoganda whether it's corporate manufactured or not.
The original poster asked specifically about the effects of smoking on the lungs. Delude yourself if you like, even while admitting to using a vaporizer when sick.
Trust you? nuh uh. Moderation is a good thing, but more important is to know the risks you take so that you can weigh the benefits against them. Then you make a choice. This is true with many legal prescriptions.

If anyone is worried about smoke on the lungs, then they wouldn't even be at this site, they should go to health sites or something. There is TONS of info there on working out. He wanted to know about blazing chronic and working out...you can't get that answer at the health sites.

There has been indepth studies done by MD. Taskins of UCLA, americas foremost lung expert when it come to marijuana smoke. While there are irritants in any smoke, cannabis smoke causes mild irritation to the large airways of the lungs. Symptoms completely disappear when smoking is dicontinued. However, unlike tobacco smoke, cannabis smoke does not cause any damage in the small airways of the lungs. This is the area where tobacco smoke cause long term and permanent damage to the lungs. A cannabis user may smoke 3-5 joints per day. A tobacco user may smoke 20-60 cigarettes per day. Tobacco tars contain radiation. Cannabis tars do not. It was in 1969 that Dr. Taskins was told by government studies that by the year 2000 the usa would literally see hundreds of thousands of cases of lung cancer showing up in clincis across america. Dr. Taskins science and research painted a different out come. To this day there have been no cases of lubg caccer documented to a person who uses(ed) cannabis only. Todays reasearch shows us that THC is good to destroy or greatly reduce the size of tumors. The Dr.s research, which still holds water today tells us there is no concern cannabis users should have when it comes to developing emphysema. Unlike tobacco users. His study concluded that if tobacco users were to quit smoking tobacco and replace it with cannabis that they would add 10-15 years on to their lives.

That's a great argument for cannabis over tobacco, but it avoids the question that was initially asked.
Look over in the lounge for a more balanced pro-cannabis post from beachguyinthongs. He quotes more complete findings.
I have to say that anyone who has to be convinced that inhaling smoke is more stressful on the lungs than not inhaling smoke either has never smoked anything themselves, or... Be well. Go forth and spread ignorance veiled as propaganda veiled as insight.
...and my lungs are just fine thank you. I vaporize.

My god son !!! if you dont see the difference between corporate sponsored propaganda and the rest of the bs we are told by a less deadly force of propaganda than i cant help you. I cant tell you what to see, but i can tell you which way the wind is blowing. The whole war against cannabis and those who use it is corporate sponsored. It is not sponsored by science.
I am 48. I have never drank booze. I have never used tobacco. I dont use mind altering substances besides cannabis. I am in excellent shape. No morning cough. Cholesterol is about 154. My lungs, according to my md @ Stanford University are as healthy as they can be. I workout 4 days a week and run and bike ride the days i dont go to the gym. As my hobbies i kayak, rock climb and play music. I never miss work due to cannabis intoxication.
I am a single parents, with two grandkids. I took my first toke of cannabis @ 15 and have practically used cannabis daily for decades. I have been completely honest about my use with my kids and have never hid it from them or felt the need to lie to them about it. Is there a hidden danger i should be looking for now? 5'11 180 lbs, and physically fit and work my ass off. I jyst love it when i hear people say " becareful. Cannabis could possibly hurt you". LMAO welcome to planet earth , where the possibiltites of being hurt are endless.
