    State law always trumps local law, bucause cities get all of their powers from the state. They are just creations of the state, and the state could take away all of their power anytime it wants.

    So that's why the Denver law doesn't do much.
    the only reason the government has its power is because we give it to them.

    if at some point, 2/3 of america decided to stand up, nothing could be done by the government to stop them. THe government would have to give in to their demands in order to retain its power, or we would overthrow them and make a better one. like when america started

    recent polls show that 3/4 of americans over 45 favor legalizing medical marijuana

    if you want to get technical , local law SHOULD always supercede state and fed laws... but our system is fucked, and it doesnt always work that way

    recently a man got arrested for mj possesion here in denver and is fighting the case, claiming that it was perfectly legal due to city ordinace, the CO state supreme court is expected to hear the case.
