suggest a wine?

i'm gonna buy my parents a bottle of wine from there old' dear son

i havn't dranken much wine, what's good? something expensive, but not too expensive... like around $30-$40

I'm a fan of the Chateau Ste. Michelle vineyards in Washington State. I don't think I've ever had a bad bottle from them, white or red. And usually under $20.
