Soil & Hydro - duel power?

    Hey everyone

My mind has ponderd upon another odd idea and I am wondering if this would actually work, and would it increase the growth rate of the plant and size.

Could you grow your plant in soil, and instead of repotting letting your roots grow out the bottom threw little holes and going into a net pot, making it a hydro/soil grow?

Or could you make it a soil and then have the roots grow into soil?

    Just an idea.

Hey, I take no offense to you hubblebubble.
I actually feel a bit sorry for you, not being able to understand the concept of 'idea' or being able to spell.

    Sad ..

Anyways, anyone else got an opinion on this idea? As Im sure you could probably be able to pull it off some way.

There wouldn't be much of a reason to do so. The only reason that I can think of to do that is to combine the rate of delivery of nutrients that hydroponics provides and the flavor that soil provides. Besides that it'll be really fscking messy with all the soil and the water. Would be interesting to do but there wouldn't be much of a reson to do so.

    How about:

    1. We root clones.
    2. We insert them into a 12" diameter pressure vessel. About 3-4 ft high.
    3. We pressure our little plant with a 1800 ppm CO2 level, @ about 300 psi.
    4. We turn ON our 1000W MH for vegetative growth, then our 1000W HPS for flowering.
    5. We grow it hydro style.
    6. We use small heat exchangers with coolant running through them.
    7. We computerize the shit out of everything.

    My :twocents:

    I guess so.

Although it was an idea, it will stick with me until one day I probably will decide to give it a go. Until then this will need alot more thinking to be done.

Anyone know hwere to find lighting systems with air cooled hoods?
