Indoor growing supplies
Aight guys, I'll be attempting my first indoor crop in the next few weeks. I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on what supplies, brand etc. I should get. I'll be working with a 700 or so dollar budget for this project. I'd like to go with a hydro set up, but I've been told by a few local people that it would be more exspensive than what its worth. I personaly disagree, but I figured I'd ask you guys for a 2nd opinion. Thanks for your time and input!

Can you post pictures of the space you intend to use? Or do you want to build a grow box? Let us know. Well need dimensions of that space as well. If you want to build a grow box I posted a list of materials needed somewhere on here. Let me know if you want it and I'll locate it. I think it's in the growroom setup sub-forum. I know I can direct you to good equipment. I have a light system for sale as well. Click the link under my signature to view it.

We have a an empty house that wont be occupied until late next year, so I was going to use that for my growning needs. Its still has elec. and heat and what not, so I can keep it temp. controlled. I do like the idea of a grow box tho, Where I can keep everything contained. If it makes any difference, i wont be growing to sell, but just for my own head, so i dont mind giving up some yield to make things a little easier, or at least until I get the hang of things.

One other question. How much money are you willing to spend on this project if you don't mind me asking? It will help me to see what you are and are not able to use.

with the sizes of the rooms, I was thinking in the ballpark of 10-15 plants(after weeding out all the males). My budget is 700 or so dollars, give or take a few, I can get more if need be, but I dont wanna spend alot of money then mess somehting up.
What would be better for the plant? A grow box or growing it in the open room.

You can use a bedroom without windows or board up the windows to block out light and nosy people. Or if you want you can build a grow box in a room. for 15 plants you would'nt need a entire room so maybe the grow box construction might be for you however it'll take about $150.00 to build. Then you have equipment to buy still. I myself use a grow box when I grow and paint it the same color as the walls so it blends in well. I make it look like a pantry or extra storage space.

Okay, I can go ahead and build the grow box, but...I wouldn't know where to start. One question tho. How exspensive would it be to set up an entire 10x12 room and idealy, how many plant would be practical to use an entire room. I like the idea of the grow box, but I figure, since I do have an entire room to use, might as well make the best of it, and the longer I dont have to buy pot after the harvest, the better. lol Also, what strains would you recommend. I'll be close enough to the plants where i can check them whenever need be, so I dont mind growing some strains that require I little more work, as long as it pays off at harverst time.(I'm more concerned with quality than quanity, but like I said, I have the option to set up an entire room)
