That is actually not true at all. And most people think that about Singapore too. Having spent a good deal of time in both places I can tell you this for a fact. There are no laws about chewing gum in any of those countries. When you ask the locals about it they just laugh and laugh that people in the west actually believe that.

I know Singapore and HK have VERY, VERY strict narcotic laws! This has been made even more clear by the headlines about the guy that was executed for heroine possession in Singapore this week. I remember when I was there reading in the paper how a guy was given life in prison for possession of pot!! But Iā??m not sure what the laws are like in Korea and Japan. I Rating: 5
