That is SO not true. Even if you are a skeptic man, rationally thinking through the pro's and cons, you have crossed a line here.
If you truly do not think this is for real, mentioning it ONCE is enough. Then you do not lose karma, because you have your doubts. But when you keep trying to dig up dirt, you are hurting this man, and you DO lose karma.
