Also, for those of you worried about it being a scam. Do yourself a favor and think of it this way:

If you give him money, you are doing it for a good cause. If he spends it on crack ((which he wont)) then it's not on your karmic record, its on his. You gave your money for a good cause, what that good cause spends it on is not your responsibility. Of course it is a good idea to investigate your potential cause as much as possible, but calling someone a fraud/scam without any knowledge is a bad move, and very low of you.

Do a good thing this christmas, if he does a bad thing with your money, you still did a good thing.

Leeching is the same act whether it's from the government or a non-profit organization.

Personally money is money, it's everywhere. It's simply currency. Anyone can get money. If it's a elaborate social engineering scam so be it. But chances are, Trich is having real problems being screwed by insurance companies and unable to work to support his family. I'd rather give him some money knowing it's helping supporting his family in such hard times.

Okay, if you sue the insurance company you're very likely to win. You probably don't have any money to sue them, but call all the local lawyers you can find, and I'm sure at least one of them will be willing to take the case for a percentage of the potential winnings. You won't get your full payment, but 80% is better then 0%.

Don't get discouraged if the first one won't. There are alot of lawyers out there and if you keep trying you'll find one.
