Ok, as some of you may have already read in another thread, one of our community members has found himself in a difficult situation. Due to a long series of unfortunate events he is amoung other things, found himself unable to be the santa for his kids that he wishes he could be this year. He has 4 little ones who are facing the real possibility of waking up christmas morning to find that santa didnt come. For a child this is something impossible to understand, and something kids shouldnt have Rating: 5

-sighs- I really hate to say this but I mean bro has a computer and shit? I skimmed his post but it seems too..I don't coincidental? I personally don't have any money to donate (I have my own money issues) but I'd be careful donating a lot of money to him, even toys...I don't mean to sound like a bitch but this is the internet and no one knows him personally or anything.. Maybe someone can give him information on a place near him to get actual donations/food/presents, there's thousands of organizations to help out vs. asking a forum of potheads who almost all have some underlying (usually money) problem or another..

I did'nt want to post on this thread but what you said is bothering me. I'm not asking for help. My friend Funky Monkey wanted to do this for me. I having a hard enough time letting my pride go to accept the fact that my wife had to apply for food assistance through social services. I'd post up images of my accident report, Police report, late bills, my medical records. But what's the point? I just don't like being told by somebody that I'm not living through what I told you I am. I did'nt ask anyone to feel sorry for me or to help me. I just wanted to share what's going on in my life at the moment to get some things off of my chest. Please don't call me a liar again or imply I could be one. I understand your cautiousness but please don't give other people that impression of me because that is not what I am.

And I can understand some skepticism but all I can say in reply is that I personally feel him to be sincere. In my heart, I feel him. And when it comes down to it sending a dollar or two is not going to break the bank. If I can buy a childs smile for a dollar...I cant say no to that deal. I have 2 paypal accounts each with less than 3$ sitting in it doing nothing. To me that $3 is money I will never access because it would cost me that much to withdrawl it. Itll sit there forever. I was thinking that if others with a similar balance just dumped it into an account for his kids it could amount to something to buy a present or two.
Its no risk really. Even if he was a crackhead on the other end of his puter fiending for a rock I dont care. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt. Its the holiday season and thats what its all about. Giving, sharing, loving, and coming together as one huge universal family.
Im in for all I can spare. Things are REALLY tight for me right now, but not too tight I cant try to share at least something.
I dont expect everyone to pitch in but imagine the impact if everyone gave $1 ! ( btw hes not the one asking for the help...I did this on his childrens behalf after his story touched me )

This is just the response of the weekend crowd. There is plenty of time , Im not discouraged.
I have faith in people. There are some wonderful folks left here ( many are gone) still and I know they will open up.
