    Fluorescent light help

This is a very good vidio that was posted by someone else in here. I watched it last night and the dude advised to use a cool white and a warm white in each fixture. This guy sets up an entire grow room for hydro the basic principle can be used for soil....enjoy. GOOD LUCK!!!

    Fluorescent light help

    Hey gen.

I use to have a grow in fluorecent lighting. I used 5 4ft long fluorecent ballasts, with 2 tubes per ballast. 1 of the tubes out of the 2 in 1 ballast would be a Warm white tube, and the other a Cool white tube, I used this for my entire grow and it came out great.

    Fluorescent light help

    Hey Joel,

How many plants were you growing? How far away did you have the bulbs, one to two inches? Was this your only grow room and if so how did you deal with different size plants. Have you ever noticed any bad effect by having the plants touch the warm bulbs? What watt of bulb were you using? Sorry for the many questions, Newbie disease.

    Fluorescent light help

    Hello gen.

Yes I find that disease is quite oftenly found, so not new.

I was growing 3 plants, lights were about 3-4inch from tops. Yes each of my 3 plants were different sizes only because we cloned the biggest one twice @ different times.
I did have one night when I started flowering that they grew alot and i didnt notice them touching the bulb and yes they burnt a little bit. Each ballast I had was 60w.

    Hey Joel,

I am no electrician either. When you say each ballast was 60w, does that mean each bulb was 30w or each bulb was 60w? Sounds like you were only lighting from the top. So the short plant was raised up.
