The lethal dose of acid is so extremely large that only the rich (or the organic chemists) would be able to get their hands on so much. It would be just about impossible to overdose accidentally as well... Drinking pure acid (a sip would be the LD50) would be impossible, because if you've ever smelled acid (they say it has no scent, EVERYTHING has a scent) it smells a bit like dusty plastic. Only faintly, but it does. So you most likely wouldn't drink it on purpose.

Acid is something you need to research. Actually, all of you need to research what you put into your system. Being prepared for it is the best thing to do. I use Erowid daily in helping my friends to understand why they should or shouldn't do a certain illegal activity unless they are well-read on it.

LSD is a very enjoyable thing, and so long as you can get it in blotter (paper) form or you trust anyone who gives it to you on another medium (sugarcubes, gelatin/windowpane, capsules, pills), the likelihood of you going mentally unstable is slim.
